Dario Alessi, Deputy Director of the Medical Research Council Protein Phosphorylation Unit and Professor of Cell Signalling in the College of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee, has been elected a Fellow of The Royal Society of London.

The European Science Foundation announced that Professor Marja Makarow will succeed Dr. John Marks to be its Chief Executive, making her the first woman to take the top post in the ESF’s 33-year history.
